Partlet middle-et?

So I went after my partlet with a pair of scissors. And after cutting off a whole bunch, it shockingly fit pretty well?

Compare the new chopped up pattern to the original:

You can see I smoothed out the neck-to-front piece like whoa, and didn’t really leave any curve there. Also made the front-to-back transition hit in a better place, and took out a bunch of that width.

I have enough silk organza, but alas not to cut it as a single piece so there is going to be a seam up the back.

I should have so chopped my Elizabethan partlet. Maybe I will now. Thank you for the idea. 🙂

Scissors do solve a lot of problems don’t they 🙂 (Except for when you are trimming seam allowance, and accidentally cut into the main fabric… Not that I did that when cutting out the organza for this…)
